Got Evangelism?
Get out of the fort!
God has shown us the importance and Biblical mandate of evangelism. This is something ALL
Christians and churches should be doing right? With less than 2% of the modern church evangelizing,
the church is fulfilling "a little commision, and not a great commision." A lot of us sit up in our
churches week after week and recieve great Bible teaching and exhortation, we have Christian radio,
Blue Letter Bible, unlimited commentaries, and get like fattened cattle and do little to nothing with
what we've learned in regards to "taking it to the streets" outside the church.
Our community needs
active Christians to "go out" and bring the message of salvation to the lost and bring spiritual medicine
to the dying and hurting. We can't do that if were arguing about whose doctrine is the best and stay hung
up in the fort (church) all the time enjoying the cozy, non-confrontational, safe, comforts of Christianity.
You don't always have to travel to the Middle East, Africa, or Romania to bring the message to the lost.
Although it is important to “go” throughout the whole earth, we need to evangalize our city, state, and country
which is dying like so much of the church. We might want to stop wondering "What would Jesus do?" and look at
"What did Jesus do?" and do it. That is the vital part of CCRSM Youth Ministry's vision for 08'. Will you join us?"
